A Promising Life in Rhythm

Patrick Sam Copelin was born on July 21, 1989, in Lewiston, New York, and raised in Niagara Falls. A graduate of Niagara Falls High School in 2008, Patrick pursued his passion for music at Niagara County Community College, where he studied music and honed his skills as a drummer. He was an integral part of the local band "Friendly Fire," performing at various venues and opening for notable acts like Kansas and Kim Mitchell. Patrick's love for music was evident in his admiration for bands such as Led Zeppelin, Rush, and The Beatles, and he was known for his vibrant presence at concerts, often seen drumming along with the crowd. Beyond music, he enjoyed boating, jet skiing, and cherished the holiday season, embodying the spirit of "Peace, Love and Happiness."

The Day Everything Changed

On March 8, 2011, Patrick's life took a tragic turn. Witnesses reported seeing him jump into the American Falls at Prospect Point in Niagara Falls, New York. Despite immediate search efforts, his body was never recovered, leaving his family and community in a state of shock and grief. At the time of his disappearance, Patrick was 21 years old, stood 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighed approximately 150 pounds, and had blue eyes and blond hair.
