A Quiet Community Shattered
In the early hours of October 4, 2019, the serene neighborhood of Wyncreek Estates in South Fulton, Georgia, was jolted awake by the sound of gunfire. Residents, accustomed to the tranquility of their community, were alarmed to discover that one of their own, 41-year-old Gabriel Wendell Brunson, had been fatally shot in his driveway on Gracelyn Court SW. The South Fulton Police Department responded promptly to the scene, initiating an investigation into what would become a perplexing unsolved homicide.
The Crime Scene
Upon arrival, officers found Brunson lying unresponsive in his driveway, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. The immediate area offered little in the way of physical evidence, and there were no eyewitnesses to the crime.
