On the night of November 3, 2008, at approximately 11 p.m., the quiet of Leesburg, Florida, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Residents in the 2200 block of Harlem Avenue reported the disturbance, prompting a swift response from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Fredrick Felton suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Despite immediate medical attention and being airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, Fredrick succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
A Young Life Cut Short
Born on November 5, 1986, Fredrick Charles Felton Jr. was just two days shy of his 22nd birthday at the time of his death. His untimely passing not only devastated his family and friends but also left a void in the Leesburg community.
