The Fateful Encounter

Around 12:30 a.m. on that tragic Monday, Michael and two friends were walking south on Noe Street in the Duboce Triangle neighborhood. Their evening had been filled with camaraderie, having enjoyed pizza with friends in West Portal before parting ways. As they made their way home, a dark-colored sedan approached, and five men emerged, one brandishing a firearm. The assailants demanded the trio to kneel and empty their pockets.
