On the evening of December 15, 2016, the city of San Bernardino was shaken by a tragic event that remains unresolved to this day. Luis Sanchez Aguinaga, a 34-year-old resident, was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he was pronounced dead at 8:02 p.m. The circumstances surrounding his death have left a void in the community and a family seeking answers.
The Night of the Incident
At approximately 7:17 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of North G Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Aguinaga suffering from a gunshot wound. The immediate area was cordoned off as detectives began their investigation, but initial reports did not reveal any clear motive or suspect information.
