The Discovery of a Gruesome Scene
On the morning of July 22, 2016, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a welfare check at the Lodge Apartments, located in the 3400 block of Admar Court on the city's northeast side. Upon arrival, officers discovered a horrific scene: three individuals had been fatally shot inside the apartment. The victims were identified as 23-year-old Takara Coleman, her 25-year-old partner Cameron Baker, and their 52-year-old neighbor Lisa Woods.
A Child's Innocence Amidst Tragedy
Amidst the tragedy, a glimmer of hope emerged. In a bedroom, officers found Coleman's 19-month-old daughter asleep and unharmed, lying next to her deceased father, Cameron Baker.
