A Fateful Visit Turns Deadly

On April 14, 2010, William Richard Wood, a 50-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, visited a friend's apartment on Gordon Street in Tampa. What began as a routine visit quickly escalated into a nightmare when an armed robbery unfolded, leaving Wood critically injured. Despite being rushed to Tampa General Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, marking the beginning of a complex and unresolved homicide case.

William R. Wood was more than a victim; he was a retired businessman with a rich history. Before moving to St. Petersburg with his wife in 2004, Wood owned Midland Acres Quarry and Subdivision in Pease Bay, Grand Cayman.
