A Promising Life Cut Short
On May 1, 2008, the town of Fairfield, Connecticut, was shaken by the tragic death of 17-year-old Kyle Schneider. A junior at Fairfield Warde High School, Kyle was discovered by his father, Douglas Schneider, in their Congress Street home, unresponsive and bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head. The sudden and violent nature of his death left the community in shock and mourning.
A Vibrant Young Man
Kyle was known for his vibrant personality and diverse talents. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, he spent his early years in Wilton before moving to Newcastle, Maine, in 2003. There, he attended The Center for Teaching and Learning and Great Salt Bay School, graduating from eighth grade. He began his high school journey at Lincoln Academy before relocating to Fairfield, where he enrolled at Fairfield Warde High School. Kyle's passion for music was evident; he was a talented saxophonist and had taught himself to play the bass guitar.
