A Life Cut Short
On the afternoon of Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at approximately 2:40 pm, the 1300 block of Monroe Street NW in Washington, D.C., became the scene of a tragic event. Mr. Jamal Crump was found shot and killed, marking a devastating end to a life with untold potential. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded promptly, but despite their efforts, the case remains unsolved.
The Immediate Aftermath
Following the incident, the MPD's Homicide Branch took charge of the investigation. Detectives canvassed the area, seeking witnesses and gathering any available evidence. Flyers were distributed, and the community was urged to come forward with information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the perpetrator(s).
