The Fateful Evening
On the evening of August 31, 2017, between 7:30 and 7:50 p.m., Crystal and her husband were at their transient camp near the railroad tracks north of Lincoln Street and east of 15th Avenue in Phoenix. During this time, they encountered three unknown male suspects. The encounter escalated into a robbery, during which Crystal sustained fatal injuries.
