On February 15, 2016, the lives of two women, Yolaine Murat and Shalanda Lynn, were tragically cut short in a double homicide that shook Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood. The incident occurred at 7531B NE Miami Court, a residence both women called home. Despite the passage of time, their murders remain unsolved, leaving a void in the community and a desperate need for answers.
The Victims
Yolaine Murat, born on October 9, 1986, was a 29-year-old woman known for her vibrant spirit and dedication to her family. Her roommate, 44-year-old Shalanda Lynn, born on July 26, 1971, was equally cherished by those who knew her.
