The Incident
On November 15, 2011, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a distress call from Spivey Terrace in the Regency area. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man, 42-year-old Richard Barley, deceased at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds. A woman, 40-year-old Kelli Daidone, was found critically injured and was immediately transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, Daidone succumbed to her injuries, marking the incident as a double homicide.
