A Fateful Night in February
In the early hours of February 27, 2011, 22-year-old Alexcia Salsberry and a friend were returning home from a party in west Phoenix. Around 2 a.m., an argument between the two women prompted them to stop their vehicle near a tire store at 50th Avenue and McDowell Road. This seemingly minor disagreement set the stage for a tragic and senseless act of violence.
The Unforeseen Encounter
As the women paused to resolve their dispute, an unknown man approached them in his vehicle. He inquired if they were all right, to which they responded affirmatively, indicating no need for assistance.
