A Tragic Night in Hartford
On the evening of May 6, 2005, the city of Hartford, Connecticut, was shaken by a violent crime that remains unsolved to this day. At approximately 11:20 p.m., Edward "Little Man" Bell Jr., a 34-year-old lifelong resident of Hartford, was shot multiple times on George Street in the city's south end. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency services and his subsequent transport to Hartford Hospital, Bell succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
A Life Remembered
Born on July 21, 1970, Edward Bell Jr. was affectionately known as "Little Man" to his family and friends. A graduate of Bulkeley High School, Bell was an avid sports enthusiast with a particular passion for basketball. He also had a deep appreciation for automobiles. Beyond his personal interests, Bell was a devoted father to his two sons, Davon Thomas and Jaquan Willis, and his daughter, Nadiyah J. Bell.
