The Disappearance of Avril Duenas-Juarez

On April 24, 2023, the city of Madison, Wisconsin, was shaken by the sudden disappearance of five-year-old Avril Duenas-Juarez. Described as a Hispanic girl standing 4 feet tall and weighing approximately 50 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, Avril's absence quickly became a focal point for local law enforcement and the community. The urgency of the situation was amplified by the circumstances surrounding her vanishing, which were both alarming and tragic.

A Gruesome Discovery

The same day Avril was reported missing, authorities responded to a distressing scene on South Midvale Boulevard in Madison. Inside a local business, they discovered the lifeless body of 43-year-old Micaela Juarez Ocolt, who was later identified as Avril's mother.
