On June 26, 1998, the quiet neighborhood of West Shawnee Drive in Chandler, Arizona, was shattered by a heinous crime. At approximately 4:30 a.m., 38-year-old Debra Sue Murray stepped out of her home, heading to her managerial shift at a local Jack in the Box restaurant. As she made her way through her front yard, an unknown assailant ambushed her, inflicting multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body. Despite the swift response of Chandler Fire Department paramedics, Debra was pronounced dead at the scene.
