Jocquez Ivory, an 18-year-old from Natchez, Mississippi, had recently graduated from Natchez High School in 2016 and briefly attended Hinds Community College. He also worked for three months as a security guard at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola. Ivory was in Baton Rouge working for a company that surveys stores’ inventory when his life was tragically cut short .
In the early hours of August 29, 2017, Baton Rouge police discovered Ivory's body around 1:30 a.m. on Scenic Highway. He had been shot eight times while attempting to flee during an apparent robbery. His attackers reportedly robbed him of everything he had, including his car .
Despite the passage of time, Ivory's murder remains unsolved. The lack of arrests or identified suspects has left his family and community seeking justice. The case has been documented on platforms like Crime Solvers Central, where it remains listed as unsolved .
