Introduction

The city of Louisville, Kentucky, has witnessed numerous tragedies, but few remain as haunting and unresolved as the murder of Lamont Pillows. On April 29, 2017, the 42-year-old was found fatally shot near his residence in the Limerick neighborhood. Late on that April evening, Louisville Metro Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1100 block of South 8th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Lamont Pillows lying in a field behind his apartment complex, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
