On January 13, 2019, the life of 20-year-old Zyair Bradley was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. Known for his love of football, boxing, music, dancing, and his playful sense of humor, Zyair was more than just a young man with a bright future; he was a beloved son, a protective older brother, and a friend to many. His mother fondly referred to him as her "beautiful angel," highlighting the deep bond they shared. Zyair's vibrant personality and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
The Fateful Night
In the early hours of that January morning, at approximately 1:16 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the Unit block of Forrester Street, SW. Upon arrival, they discovered Zyair and 23-year-old Alexis Washington inside a vehicle, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, their injuries proved fatal, and both were pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
