A Tragic Evening in East Oakland

On the evening of August 22, 2016, the community of East Oakland was shaken by a tragic event. At approximately 7:30 p.m., 29-year-old Rashad Harrison Grayer was fatally shot in the 2700 block of 35th Avenue. The incident left residents in shock and mourning, as another life was lost to senseless violence.

The Immediate Aftermath

Following the shooting, emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene. Despite their efforts, Grayer succumbed to his injuries.
