A Promising Young Life

Carlos M. Harding, a 20-year-old resident of Chicago, was known for his vibrant personality and artistic talents. An alumnus of Roosevelt High School, Carlos was celebrated for his humor, intelligence, and unique flair. Friends and family recall him as outgoing, caring, and always ready to bring a smile to those around him. His passion for drawing and his joyful demeanor left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

The Tragic Evening

On the evening of July 17, 2016, tragedy struck in the Austin neighborhood on Chicago's West Side. Around 7:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 500 block of North Lavergne Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Carlos Harding and another 20-year-old man inside an SUV, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
