On September 8, 2012, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the untimely death of 22-year-old Kentrail Lee'Shawn "Ramco" Robbins. A young father and beloved community member, Robbins' life was abruptly ended in a shooting outside a local barbershop, leaving family, friends, and the community searching for answers.
Around 7 p.m. on that Saturday evening, Louisville Metro Police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of 28th Street and Grand Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Robbins lying in the doorway of a barbershop, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses recounted that a man exited a vehicle and opened fire on Robbins before fleeing the scene. Despite being rushed to University Hospital, Robbins succumbed to his injuries.
Known affectionately as "Ramco," Robbins was a father to four young children: Kemiya, Keriyae, Kentrail Jr., and Kam'ron. His parents, Monique Jeffries and Demetrice Smith, along with his extended family, mourned the loss of a vibrant young man whose life was deeply intertwined with those around him. His obituary reflects the profound impact he had on his loved ones and the void his passing left in their lives.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, law enforcement canvassed the area, seeking information from witnesses and residents. Despite these efforts, the investigation faced significant challenges. As of now, no suspects have been identified, and the case remains unsolved. The lack of leads has been a source of frustration for both the investigators and Robbins' family, who continue to seek justice. ...Read More
