A Tragic Evening in Martindale-Brightwood
On August 25, 2016, the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood of Indianapolis was shaken by the tragic death of 25-year-old Jeffrey Holland Jr. That evening, Jeffrey had met a friend near the intersection of 25th and Station streets to assist with a four-wheeler that had run out of gas. As he sat in his friend's car, an unknown assailant fired a rifle, striking Jeffrey in the head. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries a few days later.

The Holland family was devastated by the sudden and senseless loss of Jeffrey. His mother, Michelle Phillips, and father, Jeffrey Holland Sr., were confronted with the harsh reality of outliving their child.
