In the early 2000s, the small town of Ririe, Idaho, was a place where everyone knew each other, and life moved at a gentle pace. Among its residents was 54-year-old Dorothy Mary Kajpust, a woman who had found solace in this tranquil community. Dorothy led a modest life, often spending time among truckers, cleaning their cabs to make a living. She shared a mobile home with a roommate named Ruby, both having been granted permission to stay there temporarily. The Fateful Night

On August 21, 2004, the serenity of Ririe was shattered. In the early morning hours, an unknown assailant entered the mobile home where Dorothy and Ruby resided. The intruder brutally attacked Dorothy, striking her in the back of the head with a blunt object, leaving her with severe head trauma.
