Early Life and Family Background

Yaser Abdel Said was born on January 27, 1957, in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. In 1983, he immigrated to the United States on a student visa. Four years later, in 1987, Said married Patricia "Tissie" Owens, who was 15 years old at the time, while he was 30.
