On June 6, 2006, the quiet of the 900 block of South Dobson Road in Mesa, Arizona, was shattered by a grim discovery. Inside a modest apartment, the lifeless bodies of 27-year-old Tyrone Phillips and 25-year-old Rondell Echoles were found. Both men had been brutally murdered, their lives cut short under violent circumstances that left the community in shock and mourning.
