A Tragic Evening in San Francisco
On the night of July 13, 2012, a routine drive turned into a horrific event that would leave a family shattered and a community seeking answers. At approximately 10:20 p.m., 39-year-old Allen Vance, his 20-year-old daughter, Chastity Dollison, and a family friend found themselves stranded in their white two-door Lexus on Silver Avenue near Elmira Street in San Francisco. The vehicle had run out of gas, and as they awaited assistance, an unknown assailant approached on foot and unleashed a barrage of gunfire into the car. Both Allen and Chastity, seated in the front, were fatally wounded. The friend in the back seat sustained injuries but survived the attack.
