A Tragic Halloween Night
On the evening of October 31, 2010, Halloween festivities in Long Beach, California, were shattered by a tragic event. At approximately 9:40 p.m., the Long Beach Police Department responded to a "shots fired" call in the 2300 block of Delta Avenue, a residential area adjacent to Garfield Elementary School. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Dennis Seagraves suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to a local hospital, Dennis succumbed to his injuries, leaving a family and community in mourning.
The Elusive Suspect
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing an adult male suspect fleeing eastbound on Burnett Street in a vehicle immediately after the shooting. However, detailed descriptions of the suspect and the vehicle remain scarce. The lack of substantial leads has posed significant challenges to investigators, and as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Dennis's murder.
