A Tragic Evening in Anchorage
On the evening of March 10, 2014, the city of Anchorage, Alaska, was shaken by a brutal crime that remains unsolved to this day. In a secluded wooded area near the intersection of Karluk Street and East 5th Avenue, 47-year-old Mae Irene Melovidov and 55-year-old Robert Workman were inside a tent with a third individual when an unknown assailant approached. The perpetrator opened the tent flap and unleashed a barrage of gunfire, striking all three occupants. Robert Workman was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mae Melovidov succumbed to her injuries shortly after being transported to a local hospital. The third victim survived but sustained severe injuries.
