According to California Highway Patrol, the decedent and a friend apparently had been the victims of a robbery, and the decedent possibly beaten. The decedent had been seated in the center of the westbound lane of Buena Creek Road, when at 7:30pm, he was struck and run over by a private passenger vehicle.
