The decedent was unidentified partial skeletal remains who had been located approximately 6 months to 1 year prior in the Mission Gorge area of San Diego. An individual was digging in a wooded canyon-like area and located the decedent's remains, and covered them up. On 07/17/2024 the individual reported the remains to another person, who called San Diego Police to report the incident.
