On 06/01/2008, remains were found on private property in Dulzura. Residents called 911 to report finding possible human bones and a deputy was dispatched. Deputies confirmed the presence of human bones, however due to nightfall and terrain, arrangements were made to recover the remains on 06/02/2008. The deceased was of short stature and estimated to have been deceased for 8-10 months.
