On 03/17/2015, a passerby was walking in the area of Lone Mountain, near the Lone Mountain Cemetery (Carson City, Nevada), when he observed the decedent's tennis shoe sticking out of an apparent shallow grave. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, used a knife to cut the shoe, and observed that the decedent's foot was inside of the shoe. Emergency personnel excavated the decedent from a shallow grave. The decedent was fully clothed, and skeletonized with attached tissue.
