A man was hiking in the Otay Mountain Region when he came across what appeared to be a human skull. He contacted the San Diego Sheriff’s Office, and the Deputy used the GPS coordinates provided by the hiker to locate the remains. The skull was lying in a lightly grassy area on top of a large boulder. No other skeletal remains were found in the area. A few bags, a pair of pants, and a pair of sandals were found in the vicinity.
