The partially decomposed body of an unidentified man was found in the Mississippi River approximately 300 yards north of the I-494 bridge on April 5, 1987. The body was originally recovered near the Armour Meat Packing Complex in South St. Paul (the Armour plant no longer exists and has been replaced by local businesses).
