On December 19, 2020, the lifeless body of a man identified as Roy Lee Skimerman was discovered in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Skimerman, who had been experiencing homelessness, was known to reside on the outskirts of a business parking lot, with the tacit permission of the business owners. His presence was a fixture in the area, and he was occasionally checked on by a kind-hearted customer.
