On January 23, 2021, the body of a female, later identified as Candis E. Chain, was discovered in Knoxville, Tennessee. Despite efforts by authorities to locate and notify her next of kin, no arrangements for her funeral were made by family members. Consequently, the county undertook the responsibility of handling her cremation, given the absence of familial intervention.
