On April 12, 2021, a male body was discovered in Everett, Massachusetts, later identified as Edward V Richey. Despite the identification, Mr. Richey remained unclaimed, prompting an investigation by the Massachusetts Office of Chief Medical Examiner. The discovery following a Welfare Check (WBC) raised concerns and pointed to the need for further inquiry into his circumstances.
