In December of 1983, the remains of an unclaimed individual later identified as Rita Jones were discovered in the town of Yakima, Washington. This discovery, made on the 18th of December, left a lingering mystery regarding the circumstances surrounding her death and her last days in Yakima County. Despite efforts to identify next-of-kin or relatives, Rita Jones has remained unclaimed over the years, a poignant reminder of the lives that go unnoticed even in closely-knit communities.
