Arthur L. Defore, a 62-year-old male, was found unresponsive on April 15, 2020, at the Avamere Heritage Rehabilitation of Tacoma, a skilled nursing facility where he resided. Despite the immediate attention by the facility staff, Arthur was unable to be revived, leading to the involvement of the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office. The incident prompted a thorough investigation by the office to determine the cause of his sudden unresponsiveness and subsequent passing.
