On January 8, 2007, the body of an unidentified male was discovered in Hawaii, leading to an ongoing investigation managed by the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu. The case, cataloged under the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) with the identifier UCP686, has been open since its initiation more than a decade ago. Despite persistent efforts, the identity of the individual, later identified posthumously as Charles F. Eggleston, remains unclaimed.
