In the serene town of Bonney Lake, Washington, the life of David B. Tussing quietly came to an end on April 12, 2018. A 74-year-old man, David succumbed to natural causes within the comforts of his own residence. His passing left behind a story often untold, as all of his next of kin had already passed away, leaving David to be an unclaimed person. As with many such cases, it was up to the local authorities to handle his affairs.
Upon the discovery of his passing, the matter was taken over by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office, located on Pacific Avenue in Tacoma, Washington. Assigned the case number 18-0761, the diligent team at the Medical Examiner's Office worked methodically to ensure David's final arrangements were handled with respect and care, even in the absence of family to make these crucial decisions.
After a period of examination and processing, David's remains were entrusted to a rotation funeral home, where he was cremated. During this time, it was discovered that David’s father had been laid to rest at the Washington Memorial.
