On January 1, 2019, the body of Larry Sigmon Reese was discovered in Knoxville, Tennessee. Despite efforts by authorities to find next of kin and make arrangements, no family or next of kin came forward to claim the body. Consequently, the county was left with the responsibility of handling his cremation, a procedure often employed in cases where familial arrangements are absent.
