On April 12, 2019, the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office began investigating the case of an unclaimed individual, Phyllis Anderson, whose body was found in Lakewood, Washington. Phyllis Anderson was a 90-year-old female residing at an Adult Family Home at the time of her passing. As reported by the facility staff, Phyllis was fed and then laid down for a nap. A few hours later, during a routine check, she was found unresponsive in her bed, prompting staff to initiate CPR immediately.
