On August 7, 2019, the body of David Bakeman was discovered at the Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Center Shelter in Boston, Massachusetts. A staff member found him unresponsive, leading to a call for medical assistance. Unfortunately, any efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
