On February 24, 2017, the body of a 59-year-old male named Richard Cruden was discovered at his residence in Lakewood, Washington. Investigations revealed that he had died of natural causes. Upon the discovery of his body, the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office (PCMEO) took over the case to comprehensively establish the circumstances surrounding his passing.
