On September 24, 2017, the body of 47-year-old William Kenneth Mullinax-III was discovered in his residence in Tacoma, Washington. Known to have died of natural causes, Mullinax's case was taken under the jurisdiction of the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office. Despite successful notification of his family about his passing, they did not come forward to claim his body. As a result, the decedent became an unclaimed person, necessitating intervention procedures by local authorities.
