On October 20, 2001, the body of a male, identified as Humberto Franco Moyers, was discovered by railroad workers near the tracks in Gallup, New Mexico. There was no indication that he had been struck by a train or involved in an accident on the tracks. It was presumed that he might have been a transient individual passing through the area. Authorities suggested that Moyers, known for his movements across borders, frequently traveled illegally from Mexico into the United States.
