On November 20, 2024, the body of Peggy A. Hershley was discovered in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was later pronounced deceased at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center a local hospital where she had been transported. Despite efforts to identify next of kin or locate individuals connected to her, Peggy remains an unclaimed person, with no known relatives or contacts stepping forward to claim her remains.
