Jesse James Kirkland was found deceased on April 30, 2025, in Los Angeles, California. The circumstances surrounding his death began the previous evening, April 29, when he asked a neighbor for a ride to the grocery store around 10:00 PM. The neighbor declined but offered to take him the following morning. When the neighbor attempted to follow up the next day and was unable to reach Kirkland, concern grew.
